Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows a surgeon to look inside the uterus in order to diagnose and treat the cause of abnormal bleeding. Polyps' small fibroids and adhesiolysis can be done using hysteroscopy. No cut is given on the abdomen. hysteroscopy is also done for fertility-enhancing procedures and as a prerequisite for IVF treatments. A very thin fibreoptic scope is introduced through the mouth of the uterus and inside of the uterus visualized.
