Laparoscopic surgery is a type of surgical procedure that allows a surgeon to access the inside of the abdomen {tummy} without giving large cuts on it. The entire surgery can be done using three or four tiny 5 mm holes. The surgery offers early recovery and mobility of patients and is cosmetically better too. Blood loss is minimal. Almost all procedures can be done laparoscopically. This is also known as keyhole surgery or minimally invasive surgery.
